Charting a path for a financially sustainable art studios in rural America

What does it take to save a historic property and transform it into a financially sustainable, community oriented arts space, all while galvanizing a community’s arts ecosystem?

Over three years of work, Golob Art consulted for the Town of Groveland to develop Lucile’s Cottage, a 3,000 SF historic cottage on the 48-acre Veasey Memorial Park into a sustainable community arts space.

We hosted community potlucks, charettes, and focus groups to assess options and opportunities. All of this work resulted in a comprehensive, 50+ page, 7-year business plan for establishing a financially sustainable, community responsive arts center and artist studio.
